Why does the app open when I tap Start?
On iOS, third-party keyboard extensions can't access the microphone directly. So the app handles recording and transcription, while the keyboard only inserts the result. Once a session is set up, the app doesn't need to open again that day.
I tap Start and nothing happens.
Usually Allow Full Access is turned off.
Turn it on at Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › Sokdak.
Without it, the keyboard can't open the app or receive results.
Where does my voice go?
It's sent only to the provider you chose in Settings. Sokdak runs no server of its own and doesn't collect your recordings or transcripts. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Are my API keys safe?
Your key is stored in the iOS Keychain. It's used only to authenticate with the provider you chose, and it's never sent to any third party, including the developer.
Does it cost anything?
The app is free, with one ad when you open it. Removing ads is $9.99 once — not a subscription. Transcription costs follow your chosen provider's own pricing, and the default, Groq, has a free tier.
My session ended on its own.
A session can end if another app takes over the microphone or iOS reclaims resources in the background. Press Start on the keyboard again and the app will reopen and set up a fresh session.
